Canada is one of the best places to go on holiday as the country has its own association, the Federation of Canadian Naturists, to protect the rights of such travelers.

The country is also one of outstanding natural beauty and this ideal in the summertime for spending quality time outdoors.

Naturist resorts in Canada

1. Wreck Beach, Vancouver, Canada

Wreck Beach is Canada’s most famous naturist beach that is almost 8 km in length.

Popular with university students and seasoned naturists, Wreck Beach is a fantastic location and they also host a number of activities.

In the peak of summer expect to see between 10,000 and 150,000 visitors to this beach. Also, look out for the range of events they organize including the annual Bare Buns Race!

You can find some handy further information on the whole beach including the textile section via www.wreckbeach.org and also learn more on Vancouverbestplace.com

2. Van Tan Club

This club is one of the country’s oldest naturist centers having its origins in 1939. Now over 80 years old, this club is situated in North Vancouver.

The club has a private park and it encourages social naturism and has a sauna, pool, sports court area where guests can enjoy playing volleyball.

The club is in the AANR and you can visit the club as a day visitor or you can join as a full member.

3. Fraser Valley Naturist Club

This club is based in Surrey, Canada, and caters to naturists in the Fraser Vallery and British Columbia region.

They organize a range of events (mostly in the summers ) including events including barbecues, parties, hiking trips, camping trips, and games such as bowling and billiards.

As a guest, you are encouraged to swim in your birthday suit as one would expect! You can learn more about the club at Fraser Valley using:

4. Sol Sante (Vancouver Island)

They call themselves the “Friendliest Club in the West” and having visited once I will not disagree with this.

Sol naturist club is set in a stunning location in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island and is a very good club if you have to chance to visit.

I particularly enjoyed the facilities that include a:

  • heated swimming pool
  • sauna
  • badminton court
  • petanque court
  • 175 acres of land that you can explore clothes-free.

They also organize a range of events each year so make sure to check out their official site here.

5. Bare Oaks Naturist Park

This naturist park is within an hour’s drive from Toronto so if you have rented a car it’s pretty conveniently located.

Run by Stéphane Deschênes, the resort is well organized and run and a great option if you live in the Ontario region.
