We get asked every possible question you can imagine, here at capdagdefrance.co.uk. Just to bring you up-to-date on some of the latest questions and to feedback some thoughts to you.
1. When is the Best Time to Book Accommodation for Cap d’Agde
This becomes the crazy season in that a mad rush and one thing you should beware of is that if you want to stay in one of the chalets at the campsite during the main summer months, they book out often in January.
From January 1st the chalets are available for booking and the regulars.
Likewise, many people have their favorite apartment and so they book early i.e. January to March in order to secure their preferred accommodation for their desired dates.
People tend to book early and then the leftovers are left for other naturists to choose from.
Getting a flight from the UK or Holland for example though, to match the available dates which you will then find, can be messy.
The general rule is that the earlier you book, the better options you will have.
Do not expect late deals in Cap d’Agde as they are extremely rare. Why? Because the resort is so unique and supply is thus limited.
If all you need is a camp spot then you can usually get a spot a week or two before you go.
It is just if you wish to book a chalet on the campsite for which early booking is recommended.
If you want a chalet in the campsite, a decent apartment in the Port Nature or Heliopolis blocks, then it does get competitive.
Tip: Book your accommodation as early as possible, i.e. from January onwards, particularly if you have little flexibility in terms of dates and accommodation types.
2. How Do I get from Montpellier Airport or Train Station to Le Cap d’Agde Resort
Question: I am just wondering what is the best mode and the cheapest way to travel to Cap d’Agde from Montepellier. Where to get a bus direct to the naturist village?
- Go to this site for Montpellier Airport‘ to get English language information about bus services to Montpellier rail station.
- Go to TGV Europe to get English language information about train times and fares (enter the site and choose the option to buy a ticket and collect it in France)
- There is at least one train per hour. To get English language information about train times and fares (enter the site and choose the option to buy a ticket and collect it in France.
- Then either bail out at the point where you asked for your credit card details or continue with the purchase and pick up your ticket(s) at the station). There are multi-language automated ticket machines at the stations.
- There is a bus service between Agde station and Cap (also see next question below)

4. Is There a Bus from Gare du Agde to the Village Naturiste?
Yes! You need bus number 4.
No. 4 Cap Bus line from Agde station to the Village Naturiste may be found on the capbus.fr website.
Select ‘Ligne 4’ in the box on the left. You’ll see that the arrival times of the trains, local and TGV, from Montpellier, are indicated on the bus timetable.
The fare to the Village Naturiste is only one or two Euros.
The stop is just on the road, to the right as you exit the station and the bus will deliver you right to the front of the Village.
I use this bus every time I’m there.
There’s a good network of local buses if you want to get out and about during your stay.
5. How Do I get Internet Access When I Stay in The Resort
We have a dedicated page to answering this question on getting WiFi internet access and television in this post below:
>> Internet and TV access in the resort.
6. What Does a Cap d’Agde Holiday Cost
The cost of staying the resort seems to be going up above inflation every year and I put this down to the sheer demand of the resort.
This demand has been driven in part by a large influx of Russian visitors who are willing to pay higher prices and although out of the price range of many of us, many visitors seem willing to spend EUR505 a night for a luxury spot in the campsite.
Stays in Natureva Spa and some of the other new hotels in the resort have taken us way beyond the price ranges of the days when Hotel Eve was the sole heir to hotel stays in the resort.
A lot of money has been pumped into the village and many people seem willing to pay EUR250 – 500 a night.
Do not be concerned though as prices ranges vary greatly to stay in the resort.
Rent a camp spot and take your own caravan and you are looking at closer to EUR40 a night!
Rent an apartment and expect to pay anything between EUR80 and EUR200 a night.
7. Are Dogs Allowed on the Beach at Cap d’Agde
Answer: No is the simple answer.
You will find people still try it but you are liable to get a ticking off from the beach police if reported.
I have seen people with dogs at the campsite and they are allowed there, although they are meant always to be on a lead. You should check the Rene Oltra rules.
This is not a resort to which you should bring a dog
