Cap d’Agde is a town situated on the South Coast of France, West of the French Riveria, and actually relatively close to the border with Spain. Agde itself is a town and Cap of Agde is the Cape or tip of Agde, by the sea.
GPS Coordinates from Google Earth for Agde
The much-needed GPS coordinated for those of you planning to drive down to the resort is as follows:
- 43 Deg 17’50 N 3 deg 31’40 E
Route by Car
Agde is signposted once you are approaching the area from the main road i.e. from Montpellier or coming from the Spanish border.
You can’t go wrong also if you like to do things the traditional way and grab the AA road map or a copy of the Michelin Map of France.
The main road (the N112) is has a lot of signs to the naturist resort and you should not have too many problems.
Maybe just make sure that you know the phrase for asking where the naturist resort is if you are driving.
If you are arriving by train into Agde station, one of the buses outside the train station goes directly to the naturist resort.
Alternatively, there are taxis outside of the train station and the drivers will know where the naturist resort is.
Further Information
- Driving is one of the most popular ways of getting to the resort for campers. They are different routes if you are coming from the north of France is from the UK, Holland or Germany.
- The route which takes you over the Millau Bridge is the most scenic and the best route in my opinion.
- You can read more via the driving page.
