What are the best ways to get from Béziers Airport to Cap d’Agde?
The main choices are a pre-booked taxi or private transfer, the airport shuttle via Agde station, or hiring a car at the airport.
Béziers Airport Taxis
The airport states that taxis wait outside the terminal around flight arrivals, although from my own experience I would still recommend pre-booking. A2A Taxi is one of the local operators listed by Béziers Airport.

How far is Béziers Airport from Cap d’Agde?
Béziers Airport is around 15 km from Agde and Cap d’Agde. The airport gives a typical driving time of around 15 minutes, although I would allow longer in summer or if you are travelling specifically to accommodation inside the Naturist Village.
Is there a shuttle from Béziers Airport to Cap d’Agde?
There is a shuttle, but it does not go all the way to Cap d’Agde.
It runs from Béziers Airport to Agde railway station. From there you can either catch a local bus into Cap d’Agde or take a taxi.
The fare is currently €2. The airport says the shuttle normally leaves around 30 minutes after a flight arrives.
It is cheap, but obviously not as easy as having a taxi waiting for you at the airport.
Check the latest timetable before you travel because the times do change.
Travelling in a Group? Book a Larger Vehicle
If there are several of you travelling together in a group, I’d arrange a larger vehicle before you fly. It is much easier than landing at Béziers and hoping there happens to be a taxi big enough for everyone and all the suitcases. It can also save you having to split the group between two separate cars.
A2A provides vans for groups of up to eight passengers. Just make sure when booking that you confirm how many passengers and how much baggage you expect you will have. They can then confirm what size vehicle will work best.
Car Hire at Béziers Airport
Car hire is a useful option if you plan to explore beyond Cap d’Agde during your stay. Béziers Airport currently lists Hertz, Europcar, Enterprise/Citer and Avis, with car-hire facilities in a dedicated building next to the terminal.
There are plenty of vineyards and towns worth visiting in the Languedoc area, including Sète, around 15 miles (24 km) by road from Agde. Learn about other day trips you can do from the resort.
Should I Pre-Book or Just Use the Taxi Rank?
You can use the taxi rank, and the official Béziers Airport site states that taxis wait in front of the terminal for arriving flights.
However, from my own experience of travelling through Béziers Airport several times, I have often seen no taxis and sometimes only one or two taxis waiting outside. At a small airport, it does not take many passengers wanting a taxi at the same time for those cars to disappear.
For that reason, I prefer to pre-book a transfer rather than assume a taxi will be available when I land.
Pre-booking is particularly sensible if you:
- are travelling during the peak of the summer season in July or August
- are arriving late
- are travelling as a group
- need a minivan or larger vehicle; or
- want to travel directly to the Cap d’Agde Naturist Village.
